Method
CUTO's approach — step by step
1. Capture data objects and document mapping
Build a migration catalog in CUTO with every data object, its source system, target structure in S/4HANA, migration tool, and owner. Nothing remains undocumented or falls between workstreams.
2. Assess source-system data quality
Run the first data quality assessment against the source. CUTO tracks quality scores by object and flags problem areas for remediation before extraction begins.
3. Deduplicate and define golden records
Identify duplicate master-data records across source systems and define golden-record logic for customers, vendors, materials, and other master data. CUTO tracks deduplication progress and approval status by object.
4. Validate migration runs
Track every run with pass/fail status, open exceptions, and progress against closure criteria. AI agents monitor results and flag objects that need attention before the next cycle.
5. Reconcile and sign off before go-live
Before cutover, verify that migrated data matches source totals by count, value, and completeness for each object. CUTO generates the reconciliation report for sign-off. No surprises on the target side.
